What makes the difference

Most waxes are built on beeswax and oils — they hold, but leave a greasy, heavy feel. This one is water-based with jojoba extracts, so it sits light on the hair and leaves clean shine instead of a sticky layer. It is also what lets you reshape mid-day: a little water on your fingers and the hair responds again.

Where this wax is strongest

• Slick-backs and a sharp, glossy finish — its natural home
• Crisp side parts and spikes that need to hold their shape all day
• Short to medium hair, straight to wavy
• Anyone who wants a style that stays put but can still be reworked during the day

Less suited to

• Looking for a matte, natural finish? This is the opposite — reach for a clay instead
• Very long or densely curly hair — this level of hold can weigh it down
• Anyone who dislikes feeling product in their hair — the finish here is present and glossy, not invisible

1. Start on clean hair — damp for stronger hold and a pronounced wet look, or dry for more precise control of the shape.
2. Take a small amount on your fingertips and spread it between your hands.
3. Work from the roots upwards and forwards, shaping the look you want — slick-back, side part or spikes.
4. Refine with a comb for sharp lines, or with your fingers for a looser look.

Used too much? The hair will feel heavy. Dampen it slightly and comb it through again — the wax responds to water, and the shape resets.
